- is for anyone who needs help for themselves or someone they care about

 

People call to talk about lots of things: substance abuse, economic worries, relationships, sexual identity, dealing with current or past abuse, depression, mental and physical illness, and loneliness.

90% of calls to 988 can be de-escalated over the phone.
